Where Have All the Gators Gone?

The alligator, as a top generalist, offers a bellwether of the changes experienced by the river ecosystem. Bob Deyle, volunteer river boat guide at Wakulla Springs State Park and manager of the park’s volunteer wildlife monitoring program, will present stories of the alligator and several other species to examine trends and the apparent effects of ecosystem disturbances that have occurred in the 34-year history of the State Park.
The Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park is pleased to bring you this presentation, part of the “For The Springs Virtual Speaker and Performance Series”. This series of FREE virtual events is providing educational entertainment for the general public, a way for people to connect with others in a world of pandemic restrictions, and as an alternate way to enjoy the natural beauty of Wakulla Springs.
